Jessica Wu was my real estate agent for the purchase of a condo in November 2017, and I attribute the ease and success of this process to Jessica’s diligence. 

My search began with a sit-down meeting where I was educated on Jessica’s qualifications, an informative briefing of the current state of the Toronto real estate market, rules of thumb when buying, as well as key information on mortgage rules. 

My first set of showings was extremely educational, and Jessica was keen on contrasting the pros and cons of properties relative to what I was looking for: a comfortable space for me to call home, whilst benefiting from an appreciation in property value.  Her observations on location, floor plans, building condition and the unit itself helped me define exactly what I was looking for, and allowed me to place trust in her judgement which was key as a first time buyer.

However, I was not able to always identify what I was looking for and that’s where Jessica came into play.  As we met for more showings, I quickly dismissed units filled with clutter and units not perfectly staged with fancy dinnerware, however Jessica was able to see past the clutter and convinced her skeptical client to do the same.  She did this by taking me to an identical unit which was empty and I quickly realized the potential of the cluttered, un-staged unit, and that it met - if not exceeded all of the things I was looking for.

There were multiple offers bidding on this condo unit. Jessica acted quickly and swiftly throughout the bidding process to secure a price that was competitive.  This was the part of the process I, and most first-time buyers feel most anxious about but Jessica’s diligence prevailed into what became a stress-free process, largely attributable to her strong and ongoing communication.

Jessica’s genuine desire to help others was showcased by her excitement after the deal closed, arguably more than my own excitement as the buyer.  She continued to follow up after closing to ensure I was happy in new space and continued to engage with me to see if there were any suggestions or tips she could offer as part of the post-purchase process such as renovations, furniture shopping and getting familiar with the area.

I will undoubtedly engage Jessica in my future real estate needs, and know that although she is at the start of this new venture she has kicked off with strong momentum.  Her many years working in the finance industry, combined with her genuine desire to help others and solid knowledge of the Toronto real estate market makes Jessica my go-to.  Thank you for all your help Jess, it was a pleasure working through this process with you.
